Community Service

PBL-App State prides itself in a being a part of the Boone Community and is constantly looking for new opportunities to serve and lead in our home. Annual events include:

  • Winkler's Creek street clean up
  • March of Dimes- Helping to give a fighting chance for every baby

At PBL App State we like to give back to both our local community and our national community.

March of Dimes

The March of Dimes is FBLA-PBL's national service partner. For over 40 years FBLA-PBL has consistently ranked as the top March of Dimes youth fundraising partner, raising over $15 million dollars and counting. March of Dimes focuses on giving premature babies a fighting chance.

  • Every year 15 million babies are born prematurely around the world and 1 million of those babies will die.
  • The average medical cost for a healthy baby is $4389, whereas a premature baby is $54194

PBL-App State does our part by raising awareness and putting on fundraisers to donate to the March of Dimes foundation. If you would like to donate or get involved, click here.

Street Clean-up

PBL-App State gives back to the local community by partcipating in the Street Clean-Up project on our designated street: Winklers Creek Road. Several times a semester PBL-App State gets together and picks up the trash along side Winklers Creek Road. This is both a great opportunity to give back to the local community and to spend time with fellow club members.
