PBL-App State's mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. It is the goal of PBL-App State to help our members gain real world experience, develop themseleves as professionals, become involved in the community, gain leadership skills, and build a professional network.
PBL-App State is a part of the national organization Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda which is a nonprofit education association with a quater of a million students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields.
The association has four divisions:
- Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) for high school students
- FBLA-Middle Level for junior high, middle, and intermediate school students
- Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) for postsecondary students
- Professional Division for businesspeople, FBLA-PBL alumni, educators, and parents who support the goals of the association
PBL isn't just another student group- it gives members that opportunity to learn, travel, and grow as a business professional. Employers are looking for students with cutting-edge skills. PBL gives members the chance to obtain these skills and prepares them for the post-academic world. Set yourself apart from the average graduate! In today's highly competitve business enviroment, it takes more than just a degree to succeed. Business savvy, leadership skills, and technical knowledge are all essential to being successful in the workforce. By taking advantage of the many programs that PBL has to offer, students acquire the skills that will set them apart from the average graduate. Membership Fee: $60
NOTE: A $10 discount will be applied to those submitting their fees by September 12th, making the total $50.
This fee covers all National and State PBL dues. It also covers activities such as service projects and professional development.
